So Exactly How Weird Am I?
So I have been for the most part a 90% raw vegan for the past almost four years. It will be four years in January. The 90% being the raw portion. I became a raw vegan with some reluctance. I was rather forced into it because of my health and sudden realization that man’s way of dealing with my health issues was only making me a drug addict and NOT fixing my problems. I called out to God for an answer and…well, this was His answer FOR ME.

Power Food

Filed under: raw vegan — health @ 6:22 am

I’m really powering this week with my nutrition! My analysis for the last 5 days reveals over 100% of all vitamins and minerals with the exception of potassium which is 93% but that’s really good for me. I often struggle to get that above 80% but with all the coconuts, leafy greens and fruit and veg in general I’m reaching my goals with no effort at all.
I think my body likes my current lifestyle and diet approach much better than that of the previous week – the raw vegan diet. While I did feel quite pure and light with the raw vegan diet, by the end of the week I was beginning to become aware of signs of a too low protein intake, which I mostly feel as weakness in my leg muscles when I walk up the stairs or as low immunity. I also think I overdid the fruit and was craving sugars and feeling ungrounded in my awareness starting on about day 5.

chef please

Filed under: raw vegan — health @ 9:22 pm

I submitted a post to a Boulder raw vegan forum (about where to find premade raw foods in Boulder), and here’s one reply that I got:
Hi Sara, Unfortunately, Karma Cuisine closed last year and the Co-op, which had a daily raw special and some prepared foods and desserts, closed a few months ago. There’s a newish restaurant in North Boulder called Organic Orbit that serves raw pizza and is rumoured to be considering other raw dishes. They have smoothies too. I haven’t been there yet. I am a raw chef here in Boulder and would be happy to prepare meals for you if you would like some tasty things to be waiting for you in the fridge. Let me know when you are back in town and we’ll see if this works for us. Thanks and good luck, Jill

today…there was something quite delicious about it…it was for Vancouver Co-op radio and the host is a lovely, gentle,
insightful
woman named Allart…this interview differed to so many others in that we went deeeeeeep into the
emotional aspects
of my raw food journey – almost to the exclusion of all else ;) It was wonderful to share so much, especially with a fellow raw foodie and
